German Cigar Cutter Marks

Post by clb »

I have a German cigar cutter and I am trying to identify the maker, whose mark is a horse's head (see picture below). The front of the cutter is marked Frankfurt 4 - 10 - 25 (1925?). I would be grateful for any help.

Hello, this seems to be the mark of Schmidt-Staub and Comp. of Pforzheim, Germany. It produced small silverware, among it jewellery, silver chains etc. It is listed in the directories until the middle 1980ies. Best wishes, Bahner.
