Griffin Hallmark on soup ladle 1795

Post by joho »

Hi all. Can anyone help identify the place and maker of this large soup ladle which I think is German? The town mark looks like a winged griffin and the maker's mark is FTC. There is another mark, FW in script and an assay scrape. There is also an engraved inscription with date 1795. The ladle is 37cm long and weighs 220 grams. Many thanks. John

The soup ladle was produced by Friedrich T. Crowecke in Stargard in Pomerania (now Poland)
