I'm new at learning how to read Makers marks and so far I've been doing pretty well. I have however run across a mark that is confusing me.
I'm not sure if I am reading the letter date correctly can someone help me? I was able to identify the Makers mark but that was all.

Re: Birmingham Date Mark, Confused!
Hi and welcome to the forum.
There is no obvious Birmingham hallmark in your pictures. For those who are reluctant to click on picture links I have included the marks from your second picture below:
This is typical of a Hanau pseudo-mark (see the Hanau marks page at http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_hanau_marks_01.html). Although the exact combination of marks from your spoon is not illustrated, the crowned P looks very similar to the crowned Ps on marks attributed to Georg Roth & Co.
