German Peter Weron?

Post by Sterling21 »

Any ideas on this? I've seen a few pieces with similar clawed feet that were marked PV for Peter Weron (Veron). Sorry for the visibility of the mark, it's incredibly small and difficult to capture. It's definitely PV, then 0'935 0-935 or 0 935

Hello, does not look like a German mark. No idea, though. Best wishes, Bahner

Hello Sterling21!
I think it's not German. In Europe 0,935 - Swiss hallmark, which is commonly used for watch cases. Also 935 (without "0") is used in Israel. Maybe it will help you.

Best regards.

Yeah, I've seen the swiss marks 0,935. But I've only really ever seen that on watches. And it's in the comma position, not in an "apostrophe" position. It's really got me stumped. It doesn't seem marked thoroughly enough for high quality silver, but it's just so well-made and ornate... plus the 935. I'm really hoping it's not just a serial number of some kind for that pattern.

It may be German. I have a vintage Boden Edelstahl watch stamped 935. It is also stamped made in Germany. It was brought back by my uncle from Germany after ww ll and my mother gave it to me.
