Unidentified marking
Hi, I have my fathers wedding ring. I know it was given to him by his sister. She married about 1915 and after her husbands death gave the ring to my father.I have tried to identify the markings but have drawn a blank. I would like to give the ring to my son who is getting married shortly. Can anyone give me some history of this ring please.
many thanks
EV.
Re: Unidentified marking
Hi EV,
Welcome to the Forum.
The ring is 9ct. gold. It was assayed at London at 1916, and made by Lawson, Ward & Gammage (Henry Robert William Lawson, John Barron Ward, John Ellis Gammage and George Henry Gammage) of 26, Clerkenwell Road, London, and Ely Place, Tenby Street, Birmingham.
