Hello,
Can somebody pleas tell me any details about this object, which my father left us?
It is champagne bottle holder.
He passed away 1984, and i saw it in his home years before.
I also know that he loved to buy expensive objects.
Thanks.
Why i cannot add a picture?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You must upload your images to an online picture host and link to the picture(s) in your post. The following should help you:

Posting Requirements

Embedded images get a far greater response than just posting links or thumbnails.

Remember to use the 'Preview' button before submitting your post - if your images don't show up there we won't be able to see them either.

That is the Gorham trademark. There are examples of your item on google images. It is great looking.

Thanks for your answer.
I "googled" images now, and found 2 other items exactly like mine,
and learned that mine misses the small chain to hold the 2 parts...
Do you know what is the meaning of "A3150" ?
and why the lion "looks to the right" ?
can we know what is "production period" ?

Thank you for every answer.

Hi ~ welcome to the forums.

The 'A' prefix on the production code was used from 1898 until the early 1930s, which fits with the style of the Gorham trademark (the orientation of the lion is correct and typical) - lacks a date code, but would guess your piece was produced fairly early in the dating window mentioned...
