Tiffany spoons, date help required

Post by mk209 »

I found a Tiffany & Co desert spoon a while back which I thought was quite nice and then a while later saw 6 more spoons for sale in a different part of the country that matched my spoon exactly! The engraved initials of 'EJW' made it certain they were from the same set. So now I have a set of 7 spoons which obviously were part of a larger set of 12 perhaps?

If anybody can give me rough idea on the age it would be great.

Hi Matt - that eccentric little 'm' mark is generally believed to have only been in use somewhere between 1869 and 1875.

That's great thanks for your help Cheryl, they're older than I thought.
