Has anyone ever seen this Tiffanys Hallmark before???

Postby DRM727 » Mon Nov 21, 2005 1:33 pm

I can't figure out what year this Tiffanys Hallmark is:

Image

On the bottom is has:

Tiffany & Co.
6429
G&W
ENG STERLING
925-1000
26
550 Broadway. N-Y

It is not in the examples shown in the encyclopedia. It also has a different address, 550 Broadway??? Was Tiffanys at that location too?

If anyone knows what year it is, or any other info, please help?

thanks,

Hello, nice piece ! The mark is that of Grosjean & Woodward, who actually made this (Tiffany just sold it) the ENG stands for English Sterling, and it was used between 1854 and 1865. Best wishes, Bahner
