"J.S.S" Polygon/"E.P.N.S" Polygon/"A1" Diamond (sideways)...comes up unidentified: http://www.silvercollection.it/SILVERPL ... JJDUE.html

Demi/Five o'clock/Coffee spoon appears to be possible old Hotel Russell (1900-renamed now) of London. Tipped/tipt or Old English handle reverse.

Confimation of maker or user identities welcome...TIA

A listing in Wisconsin is showing Wild Boar Inn in the Lakes District for another sample from this maker. One more listing has three-letter separate intials reading ?. G. H., so another hotel may be possible. This is beginning to look like a major commercial supply line. The Russell was part of the Frederick group at one point (1920's), so other monograms might relate to one of their hotels.

I'm not so sure about that Wild Boar Inn identity. Other than the fact it was bought in 1959, there seems to be no earlier references coming up. And I'm not even certain of when the J.S.S mark was first discovered on wares.

One curious note is the similar E.P.N.S Polygon mark (no period after final letter and all tightly squeezed in the mark) used by Selfridge: http://www.silvercollection.it/electroplatesilverS.html

Could there be a jobber history? Pure speculation.
