This came with some Irish silver, and until I cleaned it up I was thinking this was Irish silver on copper, but now I'm not so sure. It's nicely detailed, and thin and light. It looks it was intended for a mirror or a picture, it has moveable tabs on the back.
Any thoughts about those marks? Thanks in advance.

Re: Lions, crown and masks frame with claw feet, Irish?
Sure...you've a got a better view of the lower mark than the rest of us, so try matching it up to an online Gothic letter chart and let us know what you think it is. Also, do engraved letters expose a different color of metal, or is this just reflective lighting creating that copper hue? The center mark, unless a partial, could read "E", "W", or "M" for the maker's mark...in which case the gothic "C" and "?" might be a line name or trade title. Hard to tell without that last letter.
