unknown maker on a chamber candlestick holder

Post by 200roses »

Need your help identifying the maker and approximate year/era, if at all possible, of this chamber candlestick holder.
I did hours worth of search / research to no avail. The marks are on the underside they are two: 1- a crown (box) with a bird on top and the letters E P on bottom, 2-Prince of Wales Plumes. No mark on snuffer. See links below

Hi,
Looks like one of the marks used by E.G. Webster & Son,Brooklyn, NY 1886-1961.Plumes mark is perfect match and E.P. most probably stands for ``electro-plated``

Thank you AG2012 for the quick reply.
-Tried to do some research to figure out the significance of the bird above the EP, but no luck, would anyone have any ideas?
Someone suggested it may correspond to triple or quadruble plate, just a guess though!
-Someone suggested this mark is any early mark (1886-1928) anyone would have any information?

Thank you in advance
