Help with hallmark on butter dish 8" possibly german. any info would be appreciated.

Marks look like French silver-plate.

Hello, Thanks for your response. Other than the number "2" I can see no resemblance. It tests 800+ also ? So im still confused. Could it be American coin silver ?

Marks are blurred, out of focus.
Sharper images might help.

Perhaps your correct and it wasn't tested deep enough ?

It also seems the French touch mark is a intaglio mark ?

My apologies for doubting you, You were totally correct. I got a loupe and it is sure enough marked 15gr.
