Another longshot McKown....from The Jeweler's Circular & Horological Review v.34, June 9, 1897, pg. 29, center column: "James C. Mckown, of the Pittsburg agency of the Mutual Life Insurance Co., New York, died Wednesday at his home in Sewickley. Previous to engaging in the insurance business, Mr. McKown was engaged in the jewelry business with his brother, S. B. McKown, Allegheny City."
