Hi All
I am a newbie and have read the instructions and tried to find information about the markings on this spoon I bought today. Please forgive me if I do or get anything wrong, it is my first time!
I believe the spoon is made by Barnett Henry Abrahams BHA and it is made in London. I have added 2 pics, one showing the entire spoon and the other just the markings

Re: SILVER SPOON - Please can anyone help me identify
Hi and welcome to the forum.
This is indeed the mark of Barnett Henry Abrahams although by the time this spoon was made (mid 20th century I would guess) it was B H Abrahams Ltd. The mark is an electroplate mark with the letter A indicating plating quality - 1 step down from A1.

Thank you so much Phil. The information you have provided in such a short space of time is nothing short of wonderful, I have the period and I know all about my spoon and its marks thanks to you.

Thank you Trevor for adding to the information from Phil about BHA, quite an advert!

Re: SILVER SPOON - Please can anyone help me identify
My first time on this forum today and this post has partly solved my search. I have a pair of sugar tongs including the BHA initials in rectangles, a mark that reminds me of an old pen nib and 8 pointed 'sun' with lion inside it. No other letters or marks. Does this indicate solid silver or plated?
