Maker's Mark on Sterling and Mother of Pearl Knives

Hello everyone!
This forum has helped me countless times when I have been searching for hard-to-find maker's marks in the past. After a lot of research and a whole lot of frustration, I still cannot find this maker. I have a set of 13 mother of pearl and silver knives. They are in a felt Traub Brothers & Company Detroit storage bag. I know that they began in 1857 and relocated to a different Detroit location in 1879, and again in 1905. I am not sure if this was the original bag that came with the item, or if this information is even relevant! These are not marked 'Sterling', however I am pretty confident that they are, and are not plated. They are hallmarked with what I can only assume is M C Co. I have seen a few others online with this hallmark, however no one has given any information on the maker either. Can anyone lend any information? I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!
