Help Please: W. & E. S. Co. # 594: Maker? Compostion?

Hello,

I'm new here, sorry I can't seem to find where to learn how to upload photos as I'll gladly do so. But if one may ask a question while working to get the photo thing figured out I'd appreciate it and many thanks in advance for the help on this.

I have a 15" tall coffee carafe which I'm very sure is silver pate as I don't find any "standard" sterling hallmarks or proofs. It's only markings are a stamp on the bottom: W. & E. S. Co. # 594.

I suspect that #594 = the manufacture item number / catalog identifier. I'd like to try to find out who the manufacturer is along with the item's approximate age. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
MoninDou

These are the images of the item. Sorry for the ones being set horizontal rather than vertical, still new to photo uploading.

Hi ~ welcome to the forums.

Your item is silverplate, and a communion flagon rather than coffee carafe, made by W. & E. Schmidt of Milwaukee, WI, most likely late 19th - early 20th century...
