Picked up this ice bucket from an estate sale, it came from a social club's dining facility. I can see it was made by International Silver Co., but does the "4" pt indicate a capacity of 4 pints? and does anyone know the significance of the "50" inside the square? would appreciate any other info, thanks in advance - curiousbob

Dear Bob,
The International Silver Company was formed by several smaller companies joining together as one company in 1898. The following companies are now part of the International Silver Company: Rogers & Bro, Rogers Brothers (1847), Holmes & Edwards, Meriden Britannia Co., Meriden Silver Plate Company, Simpson, Hall & Miller, Watrous Mfg. Co., La Pierre Mfg. Co. and over 20 more. The International Silver Company is today owned by the Syratech Corporation of Massachusetts.
I guess that the 4 PT means quadruple plate.
Meaning for the 50, I don't know.
Hope I could help
Best Regards
Myriam

Better late (13 years) than never....50 in square is Insico's date code for 1950 (for those of you who stumble accross this thread).
