"silver on copper" unidentified mark teaset

Post by jowg »

This is a teaset I have from a family member. It's very heavy, all pieces are stamped the same with am m; a fleur-de-lis; and a crowned c. The mark is the same as the one on this 925-1000 site listed under: silverplate marks, worldwide, unidentified marks except it doesn't say silverplate. Mine is marked "silver on copper".

Ah but it does: "silver on copper" is per definition silver plate. :-)) I can't make your thumbnails expand to see the marks? From what you describe of them, they're run-of-the-mill US plate marks. What is it you would like to know?

All the best,

Jowg-

I think the admins here will be happy to see another version of the unidentified mark and disappointed that there is still no answer to whom it belongs. Ohwell... perhaps your posting will help close in on the culprit that made these fine items.

Regards-
