Initials on a ladies claddagh
Initials on a ladies claddagh
I found a lovely sterling and marcasite claddagh at a yard sale. Thanks to the resources on your site, I know it's Ireland,Dublin Assayer,1838, but I coud find no reference to the makers initials, I.S.J. Can anyone help?

Hi,
Can you try to capture a sharper close-up of the marks? My initial feeling is that the date of assay may be 1983, but it will need a clearer image to confirm.

I went through 4 batteries, but this is the best I could do. I will say that the stamp appears to be 8 sided, though it doesn't look that way in the image.when I got the ring, that groove was level with corrosion, took me two days to get THAT much out of it. Sorry I can't get a better image.

Likely to be the work of the Irish Souvenir & Jewellery Co. Ltd.
