875 question...no 84 estonia? brooch

here is a white amethyst brooch circa 1930s .....gold over silver
hallmarked on clasp
first mark = 3C4 in rectangular
second mark= hammer? with other marks in semicircle
third mark = 875 in rectangular

hope this one is better ....
I am now seeing a left facing lion in the middle...
but I could not find an Estonia cooperative the was 3C4

Unfortunately your pictures are not good. I cannot actually understand why there would be a left facing lion in the middle mark, but ? Anyway, my statement is based on what you have written. There was a factory ЗСЧ. It is not 3C4 but Cyrillic 3SCh an abbreviation of 3 (=1973) фабрика Северная Чернь [/b]meaning something like Northern black factory. It was located in Leningrad in USSR. However, is this the case is more pure guessing because the marks are so lousy and in a way "deceptive".

Moreover, there is a narrow possibility that you really have a left facing lion in the middle mark and this 875fineness mark to the right. That would be Estonian marks from 1924-1940. But what is the left mark in that case? The independent Estonia did not use such marks as makers' marks-

My best shot. There might be other explanations...

I've cleaned the hallmarks and have taken more pics....can't get any better with the center one which I am now seeing a hammer and two dots...

I am with you on the 4 not being a 4 but the Cyrillic letter you have noted...
