Fab jewelry, odd marks--please help identify!

Post by justred »

Greetings! I have two pieces of silver and (what seems like) resin jewelry:

solid & very well made but with only one small mark on each, like this: Image

Mark on the pin looks like an upright gravestone--rounded at the top with a flat bottom--and contains a C with a 7 below it. It is the only mark on the piece. The mark on the necklace is the same with a 9 instead of the 7. The addresess for a pic of the similar necklace and mark:

Thanks in advance to anyone who has any info![/code]

Israel - I've seen the mark, which is not a maker's mark, but some sort of state mark, on silver pieces that seem to date from the 50's through 70's.

I concur with that and suggest that what may feel like resin may well be horn. Best wishes, Mike.
