Silver filigree ring set with bone that is engraved with the image of a phoenix. On the back are the marks 'china', 'sterling', and a maker marks with chinese characters. see Photo.

Does anyone recognize or can read the maker mark and when were these made?

I came across these makers. they look similar but not 100%:
LEO (Canton) Circa 1840- 1880
Yung Lei (Shanghai) Circa 1880-1915

On a language forum a user said it means "silver", so no makers mark.
