Japanese Silver powder compact

Post by welshwitch13 »

I have a Japanese silver coloured compact with some maker's marks on the left hand side that I wish to identify. I am trying to insert an image but it won' let me. How can I do this so that members can see the item??? Any help would be gratefully received!

Hi Trev

Thanks for that. Will try later.

In the meantime, the powder compact is still boxed and the box has T Nakamura No.57.4-CHOME YOJIODORI, OSAKA on the lining of the lid. The hallmark itself is underneath the powder and has 0.925 in a rectangle and "STERLING". There are also three ideographs on the lid. I have tried many times to get some information on T Nakamura but nothing comes up. Have you or anyone else heard of him (or her)? Don't know if they were the seller or the maker???

Hi,

Thank you for the further information, but no answers can be offered without images.

Hi

Don't know if these links will work - and for the life of me I can't insert a photo (must be much less computer savy than I thought!). I have posted the images on facebook (that was simple!) to see if anyone answers my query there and have contacted Japanese Tourist Board in London to see if they can tell me where I can get the info.

Thanks

Hi Ceri,

Remember to use the preview feature, if you cannot see the images, then neither can we.

Hi Trev

Tried doing the preview but can only see the link not the photo but, you can access the images when you click on the links (at least I can but don't know if it will work for everyone). Sorry I am such a twit. If this doesn't work - I'm giving up - don't want to waste more of your time. Thanks.
