Hello Again.
I purchased these vases recently, and cannot find any kind of mark on them anywhere.
The jeweler tested them for me and they tested positive for silver, and since then I have tested them 3 more times as I was skeptical, and positive every time.
So I guess I'm just wondering if anybody has ever seen this motif before, or could offer me any clues at all.
They both have the same scene on them, but the shapes of the vases are different, one larger than the other, different patterns on the base.
Each approx. 5 1/4 inches high.
I appreciate any info. Thanks.

Believe your vases are Indian, hopefully someone will be along soon with more information...

Thank you. It's a start.

I agree with Cheryl, they look like Indian work, probably from the 1920s-30s.
My impression is that during the colonial period, Indian silver was often unmarked, perhaps because it was below English sterling standard, even though it might be .800 or .900 silver.
Without any marks, the only clues to identification are in the particular designs, which may narrow down a region of origin.
