Hello All,
Not sure that my box is silver. It has three marks on it's lid. There are no other marks. It is 18cm x 18cm and weighs 799g on my kitchen scales. The marks have an Asian look to my eye that's why posting here. Sorry my photo's not the best but hope they will enable somebody to be able to tell me place of origin and if they are silver marks.
Any information greatly appreciated.

It is Persia (Iran)
The mark in the middle is Persian number ``84`` for 875 fineness (used during and after the Russian rule and corresponding to old Russian 84 Zolotniki 875 standard). Digit ``4`` is distinctively different from Arabic, so it must be Persian.
Age cannot be determined based on the standard.
Two other marks are most likely maker`s mark and town in Arabic alphabet but not i Arabic language, so Farsi speaker (Iranian) could read it.

Thank you! I now know the place or origin and that my box is silver, the possible grade and that it might be antique. You have also given me some clues to do further research. Very much appreciated.

The mark on the left reads Isfahan which is a major city in Iran and a traditional centre of metalworking
