The mark is listed in Bille Hougart's "The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks," and Hougart adds that Amaya's mark sometimes appears on pieces sold by Tane, which has been referred to as the Tiffany's of Mexico. The mark is number "eagle # 212". This silversmith is also known as G Amaya V. I believe this is pretty rare piece. I am knew to this and I am fortunate to have such a lovely piece in my collection. If anybody has any other information on this silver tray and the mark, I would greatly appreciate any comments. Thanks so much.
