This inkwell is fairly recent ( assayed in Birmingham in 1998 ) but as usual, I cannot find who the maker is.

Hi Paullemay,

I agree with you it is hallmarked MILANO and letter K. What I am surprised is that it is hallmarked MILANO which is Italy and the main hallmark is the standing bear for swiss silver 925. And this is why I would like some explanations if someone can.

Hello Slackas, as per TARDY page 398, the A1 mark shows it was assayed in the Austrian Empire in the city of Brunn between 1866 and 1918. Brunn is now in the Czech republic. The other hallmarks, I cannot find out what they are.

Hi there, Surprinsingly this is an inkwell. It has the standing bear hallmark to show it is SWISS silver. Unfortunately I could not make of picture of this hallmark as it is on the rim of the botlle, near the plate. Underneath the base there is an hallmark and I really do not know what it stands for...
