Decorative Italian Bowl
This bowl is about 9” or 22.8cm across the top and weighs 509g. The mark is in plain sight on the upper and outer portion of the bowl. The trademark is Simpson I think and they were one of the many companies taken over by International. The sterling mark refers the purity, 925/1000 silver.

Looks like a Dominick & Haff trademark. As for age, I can only guess 1940's.

There was a Washburn Jewelry Co in Anderson, Indiana from at least the early twentieth century. Very doubtful that it is solid silver. Seems unique and might be of local interest.

Try searching American trademarks on this site. I've seen the mark enough times, but my recollection is not good.
