Re: Please help me identify the Belgian silversmith of the cruet

Sorry Dendriet..it was the only reference point found in search function. Thankfully Peter was able to confirm the authenticity by his postings. Should be helpful for future questions to have links, even to poor samples (which can then be dissected further if needed). No, it was also a frustrated r...

Re: Please help me identify the Belgian silversmith of the cruet

Hi,

I think it should be Brugge / Bruges.

Unfortunately, at this moment I can not have the books

But then I may have put this in the right direction.

There are others who have also these books.

Good luck

Re: Gilt French spoon

.

If I see correctly, the 65 department should be Hautes-Pyrénées

In this region I often find religious silver (Lourdes).

Please send a reaction about this possibility to correctness.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Sugar tongs - France - export - Makers Mark ??

#JayT,

I had looked this up before, but did not know where I had written it
I start to doubt myself.
Short memory.

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things more than once.
Thank you for having found my memories, JayT. :) :)

. The vain hope that I had is now gone. The Musée Bouilhet-Christofle is closed. Many of these things now remain a mystery, or is Christofle not very transparent. At SMPub and this site, there is no information about this Makers Mark
Typically, it shows that it has not often been questioned or found.

Hopefully more success after this holiday period
Then looking further, it wants to get solved
