Re: Anyone recognise this maker?
By the way, if it's not clear by the picture, the makers initials are ARD.

Anyone recognise this maker?
I have a French fish slice which has the Minerva mark on the handle, and a makers mark on the handle and blade. Does anyone recognise the maker? Also is the blade likely to be silver as this is marked with the makers mark only? Any help greatly appreciated. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/sup...

Re: Two date letters - confused!
Many thanks everyone for the replies.
If it indeed was produced over here, would it still be classed as foreign and therefore require the F hallmark?

Two date letters - confused!
Hi, I have this fish serving fork with full London hallmarks. It is made by Gorham Manufacturing Co, the American firm who I believe had a factory in Birmingham. What is confusing me is that it appears to have two distinctive date letter marks. Has anybody come across this before, or is it quite a c...

Re: Why was the leopard's head uncrowned?
Just a thought, could it be that in this year the duty payment went to parliament rather than to the monarch?

Help to indentify hallmarks on snuff box
I would be grateful for any help in identifying the marks on this snuff box. It only has the makers mark and the lion passant, it looks to be Circa 1800. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v504/supermezz/PICT6439.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://img.photobucket.com/...
