Re: Help needed to identify these Sabbath Candlesticks?

Yes, marked on the drip pans, but they are not removable.
Meaning there are four sets of marks. Is there any mark better struck ?
Thanks

Re: German dagger with Sterling Dogs Head Handle

Hello again,
OK, RZM is genuine (not seen in the first post).
Dating after 1934.
Are there any marks on the sheath ?
I am not familiar with German military daggers, have seen several, but nothing like this.Possibly the handle was added to the blade.

Re: Help needed to identify these Sabbath Candlesticks?

Boar and eagle heads were used for small articles. Full figure for big articles with the same Roman II indicating fineness..
Cannot be seen what we have here.

Re: Help needed to identify these Sabbath Candlesticks?

Hi, Could be Porto, Portugal Boar or eagle and II in a square with cut corners for silver fineness .833 used 1886-1938. As far as I know Portugese makers after 1886 used the initial of their first name, not their last name. So, M with the basket could be maker`s mark. Btw. definition of Judaica was ...

Hi,
Let`s start with small rectangular mark. It is French ``weevil`` import mark for sliver minimum 800 fineness, used 1893-1984.

Re: No marks or stamps

Hi, Welcome to the forum. Have it tested with one of new electronic non invasive testers (most jewelers have them). Sound and magnet are not reliable at all (base metals like copper are not magnetic either). Lack of marks means we`ll never know who made it. Scratches can be removed on buffing wheel ...
