Hard to tell without a photo, but would hazard a guess at the following:

Birmingham
1924 or later.
Sterling Silver.
Unknown maker.

Kind regards

Birmingham, 1910, Sterling Silver. The "ALL" mark does not appear to be a maker's mark; any English maker would have had a more defined "Stamp" mark. Suggest it may be the importer (sponsor) of the piece. No maker would tend to suggest it was bound for foreign shores. 1786 is inc...

Unusual marks. "Sterling" would usually indicate an American origin, although the marks do not seem to be those of Gorham (wrong order). At the same time, I would expect to see a maker's mark - if you can fit "Sterling" on, you can fit your maker's mark. Best guess? English Sterl...

As far as I am aware, The "A" relates to the (real or claimed) quality/thickness of the plating.

Hi I'm fairly sure that the mark of an American silverplate maker (the name escapes me - try Rainwater). A pretty good rule of thumb is if doesn't have the Lion Passant, or it doesn't say sterling or have a silver purity mark such as 925, 835 or 800, or if it doesn't have appropriate hallmarks then ...

May be French. English silver WOULD have the Lion Passant. Can't help if it is French.

Could it be H & T? (being Hilliard & Thomason, active in the second half of the 19th century in Birmingham, and makers of caddy spoons, card cases etc).

Hi

Your makers are Cornelius Saunders and Frank Shepard, prolific makers of small items jewellery, active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Depends. Do you have a Lion Passant? And a Date Letter? If you have neither, chances are that your piece is Silverplate.

Date is right. Makers are Mappin & Webb, very large manufacturers. Mappin & Webb were established in 1797, but it was not until the late 19th Century that they emerged as one of the largest manufacturers and retailers of silver in the UK. In the late 19th Century two branches of the Mappin f...

Tumbler is 1899 - maker is William Comyns & Sons Limited, large manufacturers. Their work is OK, not great.

Candlesticks? 1914 is wrong - shape of the P is different, as is the shape of the stamp. Closest fit would be 1964. Maker? Don't know; bit late for my references.

Hi The marks seem oddly shaped - were you taking the photograph on an angle? In any case, the Lion Passant is "being naughty" and facing right (or rearing up), which would tend to indicate that the piece is not English Sterling Silver. However, the marks look similar. Perhaps pseudo marks....

"Renown" may have been the design, or the maker. Not sure. The "A1" relates to the (real or claimed) quality/thickness of the plating.

1728 is wrong: the distinctive "dagger" motif was only used from 1778 onwards, and from 1778 to 1839 was stamped in conjunction with a Lions Head. Date letter is unclear, but would post date 1890 as there is no Duty Mark. Design would say early 20th century. A close up of the date letter w...

Hmm, the marks are not very clear. From what I can see, you have: (1) Lion Passant (2) Crowned Leopard??? (3) Letter Mark (4) Duty Mark Which leaves the following queries: Where is the maker's mark? And is it something to do with the crescent? I would expect to see a maker's mark on a piece such as ...

Your maker is Atkin Bros Marks used:- H.A, HA (I confess that I have not seen the HA &S mark before and suspect it is that one used earlier than 1858; that is, your piece of Silverplate would age between 1841 and 1858). Trademark:- A hand grasping plumes Henry Atkin set up as a spoon maker in 18...

Your makers are George Jackson and David Fullerton, operating at the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century. They made a wide range, including particularly good flatware.

As for the purpose, we would need to see a photo.

Try Dorothy Rainwater's "Encyclopaedia of American Silver Manufacturers" 5th edition - This is absolutely the best book for identifying silver hallmarks on American Sterling Silver & Silver Plate.
