I fear that this is another one of those annoying lost marks from the 1739-1758 Smallworkers' Register.

Re: Charles Wright Vinaigrette
Your pictures are none too clear but I would suggest that CW is actually GW - Gervase Wheeler - and that the Y is actually the Birmingham date letter L (in old English / gothic style) for 1834.

Re: Sydney Hanna hallmark?
I can confirm that your identification of the hallmark is correct, but I am unable to identify SH, neither as Sydney Hanna nor anybody else. I would be interested to know how you arrived at Sydney Hanna as a possibility.

Re: Coffeemaker
There is no year identification here. The style seems to be of the sort mass-produced for the hotel trade and dates from the 20th century. It is more likely to be a hot water pot than a coffee pot.

Re: Are these Birmingham date Letters?
Pretty much everybody used EPNS, the gothic/Old-English form being particularly popular. It is a generic abbreviation.

Re: Maker "JC" Joseph Carnell?
Carnall's mark was JC so he is certainly a possibility. Another candidate is James Collins who seems to have been active for a longer period and, in particular, was still active in 1838.

The I is the date letter for 1994 and the "g" is a 9 for 9 carat.

Re: Birmingham "BRO" silver makers mark
The top one is a worn example of one of Adie Brothers' marks, possibly this one: https://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/Makers/Shared/ABrosLtd-AdieBrosLtd.jpg The other one could be any of a number of marks. It is likely that both the first part of the mark and a final "S" have been worn away...

It is not possible to give a definitive answer to your questions. The maker, GPS, is not identified in any reference of which I have knowledge. The date letter p (or P) is either 1914 or 1939. Your picture is not detailed enough to tell which it is. For reference the 2 date letters (shown as silver ...

Re: SILVER PLATE TRAY
AHT is the mark of Albert Henry Thompson, a Sheffield manufacturer. He also used this mark on sterling silver pieces but as this tray does not have a hallmark it must be plated. Thompson's working dates were c1895-c1920.

Re: Help identifying candlestick maker I.H
Probably neither of those as they were both registered as smallworkers. Grimwade identifies another similar IH as John Horsley, the mark having been seen on 1761 candlesticks. The big problem here is that we do not have complete records of makers during this period as 2 very important registers incl...

Not at all strange. It certainly occurs on British silver. In 1916 there just wasn't the appreciation of old silver nor a wish to keep it in original condition.
