The knight's helm is a trade mark of Josef Carl Klinkosch, who I believe were the Court silversmiths, which may account for the other mark :

I think variations of the knight's helm mark are to be found.

Re: Vienna, Austria 800 Silverware Marks Question

Hi, to me the Diana's head is not convincing. Spurious marks? https://www.925-1000.com/Faustria_02.html Peter. Thank you for your comment. I thought the marks looked bad just because I hadn't cleaned them enough, so I had a better look at all of them and cleaned them as well as I could. The Diana's...

Vienna, Austria 800 Silverware Marks Question

I have six spoons and six forks all in the same pattern. I’ve always been most amazed by their weight which is 1243g. My question is about the two marks that accompany the Austria silver mark. Any help will be very much appreciated.

I apologize for the small print, but I can't bring myself to retype the entire article to improve the size.

Thank you Trev. As an aside, in his WWII draft registration Armand Guior stated his place of employment was Jean's Curiosity Shop.

Re: unkown sterling silver mark on plate ca 1920

From New York Magazine - Aug 30, 1971 - Page 55. (The last name spelling in the article is not a mistake.) As yet I have not found any signs of Armand Guior having been a craftsman.

Re: Plz Help: Left facing Lion Mark on fruit plate - perhaps italian

Welcome to the forum. The 800 mark you mention for me would be enough to expect your plate to be solid silver. An image of that mark could be useful to others. Maybe someone will recognize the lion's head which I expect is a trademark. Good luck with your research.

Souvenir Spoon Manufacturer P. E. K. & ? Question

I've seen this manufacturer's trademark, but for now I can't place it. Don't know anything about P. E. K. other than having seen it on more than one souvenir spoon. Any help will be very much appreciated. https://i.ibb.co/zRLkbNw/Alaska-Souvenir-Spoon-mark.jpg https://i.ibb.co/2ZZ2B4S/Alaska-Souveni...

Reed & Barton 1979 Trademark Registration

I don't know if it is well known or not but Reed & Barton registered this trademark with the USPTO in 1979, so presumably they could have been using it much later than might have been thought.
