French silver teapot
Hi! Back with a tea pot recently buy. Size is 27.5cm high and 13cm large. I've got no result finding the silversmith ("A.L E...?" "A.L ET CIE"? "A.L & CIE"? For me that doesn't match). Moreover nothing about the period because of the special design of this teapot......

Re: Silverplated Dinner spoon
Hi again!
Not really sure... As told, what makes me ask is it is silver test reactiv... May be 800/1000 as it is not really flexible as for 950/1000e stuff...
About origins: it was sold with 2 french silver stew spoon from the beginn of 19th... That did not help me anyway...

Silverplated Dinner spoon
Hello everybody! For once I'm coming with a silverplated stuff. I guess this silver because of what it see/it looks like (even if the silverplate is in an excellent statement), because of hallmarks and even if silver test is positiv (May be i would have scrubed it harder...). Again, I need your ligh...

Re: Silver & Cloisonné enamel box / casket marked ФР Fedor Ruckert
I'm agree with all your remarks, especially: if you don't know what you buy, don't buy it! Nevertheless i'm still disappointed with the lack of légal control on this market. For me it's the same than selling a Christian Dior or Vuitton Bag as a real one whereas it is a fake: it is illegal! I remembe...

Re: Silver & Cloisonné enamel box / casket marked ФР Fedor Ruckert
Hi, Hammer price proves what`s been said here. Real Fedor Ruckert thing would have been at least twenty times higher. Either sold to an ignorant buyer believing in description and provenance (not available), or potentially a good investment to cheat the next victim. You're right! But what is incred...

Re: Who made these Russian spoons?
Hi,
I think you can fine everything in the russian section:
- Maker's mark: Matrena Andreyeva, Moscou, 1894-1908
- Assayer: Ivan Sergeyevich Lebedkin, Moscou, 1898-1914
Regards,
Don Smoka

Hi Dad! What a memory! It looks I did not search enought!!! So thank you! Can we conclude it has been sell by Philipp Rudolf Rehfues (1820-1866) of Bern and made by Julien Derriey, (1812-1865)? Or may the contrary? Or something as for russian silver items: a maker and an asseyer? Thanks again. Best ...
