Can anyone help to identify the mark? Plated? French? Maker? perhaps...
Thanks for any help given.

Help needed with salter
Hi Theoderich, I have some doubts; if you compare the eagle of Ludwigsburg and the eagle of the salter (if it is an eagle): Ludwigsburg has 1 head, the salters eagle is doubleheaded. Could it be Neuss? doubleheaded eagle with a cross on the right side...

German? Help needed
I inherited this silver basket with gilded bottom. Couldn't find anything about the hallmarking, tried Rosenberg, Scheffler, Tardy and 925-1000. Is it german (13)? and who was the silversmith? Many thanks in advance. regards Wolfgang http://h.imagehost.org/view/0005/Brotkorb_mit_Marken" onclick...

Hi Trev, hi Pat thank you very much for your help - I think there is no further identification possible... Your observation that the mark of the original maker is overstruck is clearly visible - but overstruck after more than 20 years (in case it's Fyeofilov), does it make sense? Thanks again for pa...

silver box
Hi Marcolino, your hallmark is the townmark of Worms in Germany - probably 18th or 19th. If you find a makers mark it would be more easy to tell some more details...
