Wow, small world!
I hope this post has more success than the last. I won't clean it with toothpaste, I promise!

c.1800 British Colonial Teaspoon

This spoon looks like it might be from a British colony, or it could also be from a French or Spanish colony! Any ideas? Miles http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/granmaa/ytdyrtd_zpsgm0fjoh3.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/granmaa/ezuer_zpss2z1l5oa.jpg

Continental 18th Century Tumbler Cup

A small little tumbler cup which looks 18th century despite the c.1850 engraving. Does anyone recognise the marks? Re: Please help in identifying these marks

Looks a bit like Chinese Export marks, imitating English hallmarks.

Re: Austrian Secessionist Cigarette Box

Reading through some former posts I see that the A mark (stamped twice) is struck on Vienna silver after 1866, either on small or detachable pieces, but sometimes even to soldered parts (e.g. tea or sugar caddy legs) . Thanks AG2012. I'm still looking for the maker. It look like there's an 8 between...

Re: Spoon marked W*W

Almost certainly William Welch II. I won't say snr because Tim Kent's research has shown no evidence that they were related. Welch I was working in Plymouth and II in Exeter.

Re: Marrow spoon maker

Thomas Allen looks like a good fit to me. Do you think it has been converted from an ordinary table spoon?

Austrian Secessionist Cigarette Box

Here's a really nicely designed cigarette box, which I have been able to work out comes from Vienna, probably c.1900. Can anyone help me with the other marks? Re: Exeter Hallmarks

Hi Trice and Trev,

I think your spoon matches up with my figure 4: 1798 - 1804.

Maltese Cross from Malta?

Can anyone tell me anything about the marks on this filigree Maltese cross. The mark looks like NM and 925 or 975. There's another mark that looks like a star. Have a look at this article entitled A little light on the Welches: http://www.bexfield.co.uk/thefinial/pdf/20-01.pdf

Colonial Cutlery c.1760

This set of cutlery has me stumped. Probably c.1760 with some unusual features, including a little rat-tail on the fork, that should make it easier to identify. The monogram is also distinctive. The maker's mark is GC or CC or CG, and the other mark is indistinct. Help! Miles http://i64.photobucket....

Re: Indian colonial salt and pepper pots?

Hi Emma,

I agree with Trev. This is most likely the earliest mark of Middleton & Co. The later M&Co marks are much more common.
