cool

That Towle mark definitely looks to be it. I don't have them in front of me but they're certainly American and the time period makes sense.

Thanks!

Fancy Knives

A set of 7 (I know, I know...) fancy knives of unknown origin.

Sterling (Tuttle?) Water Pitcher

I just received a pitcher that has one hallmark, the word STERLING, and the number 35. (and some hand etched numbers that I think are the weight?).

The hallmark is not crisp but i'm 95% sure that it's the Tuttle tree with ring of stars around.

What I would like to know is the date or a ...

wow!

that would make perfect sense because I'm in Canada... near toronto and we thought they were early 1900's silver (there's a creamer and sugar bowl with the teapot).

Any chance of narrowing down the date? or is the "R" the makers mark only?

Thanks!

Old? Teapot

I have a teapot of unknown origin. It is marked with a "7" on the bottom and under the hinged lid. There is also an "R" that looks a lot like the 1772 London R and a very very faint British sterling Lion to the right of the R

Can anyone tell me if it is English and what the date might be or maker ...

Caldwell Sterling and Madam D'Arblay

I have two pieces of JE Caldwell Sterling with the same crest. I can't seem to find anything about Madame D'Arblay. Can this be dated?
