I think it's writing desk note holder.Depending on the base and size (stone) it could have been been used as a paperweight. One cannot write on French polish antique furniture.Thing like this is needed.Again, size matters. A keepsake from Vishnyakov family. The recipient was still alive at the time...

Russian silversmith

I have a cigarette box marked with a head looking to the right and 84 number , and a silversmith's mark that says AKK. Can anyone tell me what's the name of this silversmith that marks using AKK? Thank you!
