Unknown hallmarks.
I have a set of flatware, knife,fork and spoon. The knife has the mark 830S and a a mark that looks like LW, the W stamped over the L. The pictures no good. On the fork and spoon same four hallmarks which I cannot read. Is it silver or silver plated although the knife is silver. https://s25.postimg....

Thank you Goldstein for your comment. If we assume it is a Russian import hallmark from 1898 what would your assumption be of the origin of the vase. Age obviously late 1890.

Hello Serg 1975 and you others participiating, there is no other mark than the one showed. Do you have an estimate of the age. What does the initials stand for if not for the St Petersburg assayer?

Silver/silverplated box
This box has only the mark 12 on the outside bottom. I have always assumed this is a silver plate item until I saw on the web a similar box sold as Polish sugar box in 12 Lot silver. Marks on silver vase
I have this small vase, height 14 cm with three feet. On one of the feet is a russian hallmark, 84 and above ЯЛ. This is the only mark.I cannot find any master with these initials but an assayer named Yakov Lyapunov, St Petersburg. Is this assumption correct? Master and year stay unknown? Regards Le...

On this large tray, 72 x 55 cm are the following marks, M and ?.FORS. The ? stands maybe for B.
Does anyone reqognice the marks. I presume the tray is from the Nordic countries.
