Wow . . . thanks for the quick and helpful response. I thought about the number 13, but wasn't sure, and I didn't know about 13 Loth as a fineness grade. So, the number 13 meant nothing to me. Now it does! I suppose it's not all that unusual to have pieces from that era that don't have a maker's mar...

I've used your website and this forum for a lot of great help identifying silver. Thank you! This is my first time posting. I have a gilt ladle. It is not labeled sterling, but looks like it (please tell me if I am posting in the wrong spot). It's about 14.5" long. I'm not even positive it's Am...
