Re: More Hallmark struggles!

Thank you Peter - I hadn't realised how much detail and knowledge was required to properly interpret hallmarks - let alone fake hallmarks from China.

Re: More Hallmark struggles!

Apologies for not posting correctly.
I'm not very computer literate and hadn't realised I could post an actual image - at least I didn't understand how to.
I read the link you provided and will try to embed an image properly next time. Thanks for the advice.

I had put both spoons on together ...

More Hallmark struggles!

I recently posted a question about some hallmarks I couldn't read and received very helpful advice - especially as it turned out the hallmarks were probably fakes.

This has started me looking at some of our other stuff in our collection and I have found these 2 serving spoons which also have marks ...

Re: I'm struggling with these hallmarks !

Thank you - good to have the date clarified. The WE maker's mark is still a puzzle 'tho.
Oh well, that's given me a great start.

I'm struggling with these hallmarks !

I have a set of teaspoons (2 broken) with hallmarks I can't identify.

I think it may be London with the date 1729 - but the maker's mark I can't find anywhere.

I'd be grateful for any information.

Re: Walker and Hall, I assume - but what date?

We inherited this years ago from my wife's Godmother.
We kept this because we liked it and are now curious about it.
Much of her stuff was Victorian (from her parents) and 1920s / 1930s from her own family.
So would we guess 1930s for this item?
I imagine it was once part of a set - but we have no ...

hope that works! If not I've done it as an Img rather than as a URL. I've no idea what is the difference, but ...

Walker and Hall, I assume - but what date?

Hi,
I've an interesting jug with what I believe are Walker and Hall marks but am puzzled about the date.
Would be obliged if anyone can tell me.
Also, does this design have a name?

I'd be grateful for any advice
Many thanks
