Looks to be Woshing, Shanghai, 1870s to 1910. Chinese export silver. Nice piece.

Pedestal Bowl

Hello All. Does anybody recognize these marks. Possibly German? One of them perhaps a standing Bear or animal, but I'm not really sure about that. Thank you in advance.

Maker's Mark ID on Sifter

Hello All. I'm not sure if I'm in the correct section, as I could not identify these marks. Four marks; 1. 85 or 35 crowned, perhaps 2. PM crowned 3. Cross like mark 4. I believe PM crowned again Interesting the marks are stamped facing in different directions. Thank you in advance for any info. htt...

Forks with 2 marks

Hello All. I'm wondering why these forks only have 2 marks. I found an A dot L maker's mark on silvermakersmarks site in London section, 1820, unlisted, but I'm not sure if this is the same. My second question is if there was a third tong that was removed or not. It doesn't look to me as if there wa...

Re: Maker's Mark ID Spoon

Thank you JayT for your response. The laurel branches? mark is the last mark, of what I'm guessing were 4 marks, though only 3 are now visible, and it is in the top direction. How about Maker's mark INB, the second letter is cut off towards the right side, so could be an N rather than an A. Thanks! ...

Hello All. Looking for help with identifying this Maker's Mark. Seems to be PBL. I think the face Guarantee hallmark has an 8 and 5 in it. 8 inches long. Thank you in advance.

Maker's Mark ID Spoon

Hello All. Could anyone identify this Maker's mark please. Looks to be IAB. The rest of the marks are very rubbed, except for what looks like a laurel wreath mark, which I think I've identified from an article on ASCAS, as a charge mark 1762-68? Thank you in advance. http://i.imgur.com/tBe1rTN.jpg h...

Help with Marks

Hello All. I'm not sure I'm posting in the correct section. Same maker's mark twice on a spoon, which seems like I dot H?, with crown above and star below. Thank you in advance.

Master Salts

Hello All. I believe these would be called Master Salts due to their size and weight, nearly 9 oz. total. I saw on the great silvermakersmarks website that this maker's Name probably lost in the missing Smallworkers' Register 1739-1758. This pair has date letter h for 1743. My question is about the ...

I looked at it again in different light and angles, and you are correct. I was able to make out all three letters. Thank you both.
