I agree with you that the marks do looked rub just unusual for the mark to be rubbed on all three spoons but as you said it could be just because of the shape of the stem that they have been punched badly. I will upload images of all three marks.

Image of spoon. I hope this helps. Thank you for your input and knowledge. i would like to add that i have three spoons and they are all marked with a B and key so i don't think the marks are rubbed. Joss
