Hello all, We recently purchased the bangle bracelet from a consignment shop who swears it is authentic (because its illegal for them to sell fakes they say) but we've never seen Tiffany jewelry with these marks (they look similar to import marks but don't match anything I have found thus far). I wa...
Hello, I have what I assume is a wedding basket of sorts with Asian marks. Was hoping somebody would have information on the WSD and what the character marks said? Thank you for any information! klingsheim https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg
Hello, .375 is 9ct gold (I have a ring with the similar hallmarks). As far as maker mark goes, I would venture "William Philip Whiteman" http://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/Makers/Birmingham-WL-WR.html#WP even though his mark does not feature the & S. A lot of companies did add their so...

So if anyone has thoughts that would be appreciated (I've heard mini candlestick things, ash trays, and or sweet meat/wine tasting things). Thanks for the help! - Klingsheim http://i64.tinyp...

Thank you all for the information! You input and knowledge is very appreciated. I really like the form of the box, silver or not (I think it is because of testing).
Hello All, I find myself again at the forums mercy for a foreign marked find. This is a beautiful set (tests for silver) of Cordial Glasses, mint condition in a presentation box, each cup is etched with different types of flowers, and features a gold wash on the inside. There is no marking on the box...
Hello, Are you referencing the worth-point article stating that his other work (the elephant) is from Cambodia? Or is the specific mark T99 a Cambodian standard mark? I can't find anything else in reference to him.
Please post a photo of the "sterling" mark as well as the potential maker mark to help us identify. Makers marks make looking up patterns infinitely easier, even if you don't know what they are :)
Hello all! I recently bought this box at an antique show, not recognizing the marks but (hopefully) recognizing it as silver. I think it is Chinese Export silver because of the 99 - and this website http://chinese-export-silver.com/understanding-chinese-export-silver-makers-marks/ - references marks...
Hello all! Thank you so much for all the insight. I will search for a simpler, clear glass to make the piece look more authentic. I appreciate all the help and reassurance this is an "intact" piece and is what I hoped it was. I apologize for the late reply, I never received notifications p...
So this is what I have assessed. So let's start with the smaller screw piece. It has the Kokoshnik mark that is called a "dvonik" and it was only used from 1882-1899 and it matches with the City Saint Petersburg so I was able to narrow the dating thus far with that piece alone. The larger ...
