Good Day I have bought a Walker and Hall spoon today. It has a crest on it that I would like to decipher. Any idea of the age of the spoon will be welcome aswell. I know the X is a date letter. They only use the spoon as an example and don't show hallmarks. It is on page 26 of Simon Moore, SPOONS 1650-1930. Will take pic of it now.

That is interesting. So your spoon must be a copy/fake of the one in the book? It has the exact pattern and engraving.

My book say it is a bright-cut decorated Old English spoon from 1770-1780.

I have this mystery silver plated object. It has a lion holding a sward that are surrounded by elephants, horses and cows. Any idea what country this could be from? It is very fine work and a pitty that it is plated.
