Re: Makers mark identification on claret jug

Are you sure, it's an A? Because the number is 3 next to the dog's head, and it seems to me P. But I can't identified the maker. P means Pest, and A mean Wien. Your Jug made in Austria-Hungary between 1872-1920, 800 fineness. (If Pest, maybe later, before 1937. https://www.925-1000.com/Faustria_02.h...

Re: 17th century german silver spoon

I don't think, it's from Baja. We don't know early items from Baja, but we have to remember, that until 1700 it was under osman occuoation. The first known makers and items is from the start of the 19. century. The hallmark of Baja is totally different, it's represent the coat of arms of Baja, shape...

Re: Unidentified marks

I know that Schwaebisch gmünd used the unicorn hallmark, but do you think there was a master who wrote his name in Cyrillic?
How common is it in German?

Unidentified marks

Dear Collegues! I friend asked me, try to identify the maker and the origin of this sewing compendium. There is interesting, because the town mark is a unicorn, and the maker's mark is cyrillic. I think, it's the and of the 18. century, or maybe the beginning of the 19. http://i65.tinypic.com/302qq9...

Re: Austrian maker CW

It's important, because if we try to identify the maker, we have to know, where he worked. Best regar...
