Re: Two pairs of Clausonné spoons.

Hello Tunder1 In this world there are two types of spoons: 1. 100% authentic, but they are only in possession of Zolotnik. 2. 100% dubious or fake spoons, not in Zolotnik's possession. Your spoons are part of the second category, but are beautiful and interesting. Keep them happy and enjoy. Regards,...

Re: More Russian Silver Judaica - Fake or Genuine?

Hi all, To complete the picture, engraving on this object is done with machinery. For the future that everyone should caste your eyes to how the work is done, because lately I noticed many fakes with perfectly valid markings. The explanation is that: with the new era of scrapping silver they cut out...

Re: Genuine Judiaca travel candlesticks?

Hi Zilverik,
This is a real hand engraving: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgMqqA9bge4
Show your candelsticks to your dentist and ask him if can do better. I'm shure he can. Also, he can explain better the machine used on this engraving.

Re: Genuine Judiaca travel candlesticks?

Hi,
The person ho made this candlesticks used a modern engraving machine. I use this kind of machine for polish and I know what can do. Look on youtube and you can find some cute hand engraving videos, and you will understand the diference of handwork and machinework.

Re: Genuine Judiaca travel candlesticks?

These candlesticks are well made and heavy. A lot of work was spend on them. Why should a silversmith, with good skills, make a forgery of an object out of 1875? Zilverik Hi Zilverik, Sorry but this "well made" candlesticks are just heavy and nothing more... This silvesmith whit good skil...

Re: help me identify this mark

hi omitohud

It's looking like Faberge work style. If you know the piece history, and it's realy old, not a modern replica, It's better to keep it.
For me, in your foto, it's looking very genue, just the inventory number I don't like...

Re: The Russian spoons

Hi Zolotnik, Thank you for your concern to help me to not have the “another” and “wrong” Klingert. Further any comment is superfluous. If you want to understand more than the limits that you imposed, I gave plenty of clues. Your stubbornness surpassed all limits when it comes to personal pride and e...

Re: The Russian spoons

And, sadly have to notice that not everything in this world look like those in your collection. That does not mean you have to throw mud on everything is different. Sorry to say this, but I came to this conclusion, and I hope that bitter spoon does not turn into a nightmare for you. http://artist.ch...

Re: The Russian spoons

Dear Zolotnik, thank you for honesty. On the other hand I see that you're nervous and repeat thoughts in two consecutive posts ... No, your objects are not false, are just different, stay quiet. You should get used to the idea that this university is not limited to your collection, otherwise you wil...

Re: The Russian spoons

Hi, Piette, I'm sorry you're a little off topic and reading in stars is a complex science, so take it easy. Dear Zolotnik my question was very simple and I expect a simple answer, no other picture of fakes from books. If you want to write a theory about fakes I can help you, just ask me. With due al...

Dear Zolotnik I am a psychologist and I can say for sure that you don’t have a mental problems related to Russian silver and fakes. Re: The Russian spoons

Hi Piette

While I had the opportunity to study carefully some “nice” GK fakes, even with 6-7 colors.
In connection with this spoon, indeed we have only 5 colors, but what you can expect to find on a small coffee spoon?

I’m hundred percent sure ...
