I've looked very closely and there is a very small, but impossible to determine mark next to the 800.
In your opinion, would you say the crest is almost certainly 9ct gold and is there a particular name for the design of the case? (ribbing)

I have seen many similar pieces being advertised on eBay; as being by Svein Kirkhus. But as you have explained, it cant be by him as these pieces clearly have an earlier manufacturing date.
