Thanks for that information. I suspect that it will be a case of actually visiting the National Library and seeing what’s there. The Library people on the phone are very helpful (and gave me guidance on need for identification/photos to get a reader’s ticket) but inevitably do not have ...

Dublin Makers Marks - in the National Library?

Dear Researchers,
I will be in Dublin in January and I would like to examine certain Dublin makers’ marks of c1800 as registered with the Dublin Assay Office. The Assay Office tells me that they are not open to the public but all material is on microfilm at the National Library in Dublin.
